The evangelistic task today

What does it mean to have your life touched by God?:
Feedback from the Methodist Evangelism Consultation

In 2012, the Methodist Church launched a national consultation on evangelism, asking Methodists across Great Britain what the term means to them and what they find challenging about it ( Read full details here).

A number of those who responded were later invited to a consultation day in November, hosted by the Revd Martyn Atkins, and discussed issues such as the evangelistic task today, the role of different nation groups in evangelism, and the value of apologetics.

As part of our feedback from the consultation, the following videos present a selection of inspiring quotations from the initial survey. All of the selections are responses to the question, 'What does it mean to have your life touched by God?'

As well as presenting feedback from the survey, the two videos could easily be used within church or a home group. The shorter video - two minutes long - could be shown as part of the worship service or as a discussion starter. The longer video is an expansion of the shorter video, and - at around five minutes - could be shown prior to a service.

From the consultation day itself, the Revd Martyn Atkins' address and PowerPoint is also available for download below, as well as theological reflections from Dr Daleep Mukarji, Director of Christian Aid, and Rev. Tim Woolley, District Director of Mission in the Northampton District.
