What is Encounter?
- Encounter is a place to deepen your awareness of God
- An opportunity to reflect on your faith journey
- A supportive small group environment for sharing and learning together
- A place to help you discern your unique calling
What does Encounter cover?
The programme provides opportunities to consider:
- What does it mean for me to follow Jesus today?
- What are my gifts and skills?
- What is God calling me to?
- What part do I play in God's mission?
- How does my call fit within Methodist tradition?

- Encountering Mission
- Encountering Ministry
Where is Encounter?
- Encounter 2025 will be hosted online enabling you to join with people from all around the Methodist Connexion to explore discipleship and calling together.
Who is Encounter for?
- The programme is for any adult from the Methodist Church in Britain who is seeking to deepen their discipleship and explore their vocation.
What do I need to know about Encounter?
- We will meet online, between February and November 2025.
- The Encounter programme is being offered free of charge.
