Another Loss for the Religious Minorities of Pakistan

Sardar Soran Singh was killed on 22 April, 2016. He is the second political figure from a minority group to be assassinated in Pakistan.

Members of the religious minorities who serve as political representatives take a significant risk in Pakistan. Motives for the murder are not clear, but Sardar Soran Singh was one of the few non-Muslim representatives in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Assembly and acted as Adviser on Minority Affairs to the Chief Minister.
