It is not possible for Methodist premises to be used by other faiths for the purpose of worship. This has been the subject of considerable discussion over the years, and legal opinion has been sought on two occasions. This does not prevent buildings being hired to other faiths for other purposes, e.g. hosting meetings that do not constitute worship.
