Bombing in Aleppo

Media networks have reported deaths of at least 200 civilians inAleppo in the past few days following the bombing of a hospital andother targets. The Revd Steve Wild and Dr Jill Barber, Presidentand Vice-President of the Methodist Conference have made thefollowing statement:  

"The bombing and shelling of homes and hospitals inresidential areas is totally unacceptable. We call on the UKGovernment to bring whatever influence it can to ensure animmediate halt of this new cycle of violence in Aleppo and to urgeall parties to return to the recently agreed ceasefire. Our heartsgo out to the people in Aleppo and we hold all people in Syria inour prayers at this time."
