Farewell to James, our Youth President 2022-23

We said goodbye to James Carver as the Methodist Youth President during a service held at Ashbourne Methodist Church in the Nottingham and Derby District on Wednesday 30 August.  James made it his mission to promote understanding of neurodiversity during his year and worked alongside Methodist youth groups and young people around the country to ensure that their voices were heard by the Church.

The Methodist Youth President is a full-time position to represent the children and young people of the Methodist Church in Great Britain, both within and outside the Church. The Youth President is elected each year by the children and young people of 3Generate, the Methodist children's and youth assembly.

The new Methodist Youth President, Tom Hart, will be welcomed at a service taking place in Grimsby on Sunday 10 September.
