An Index to the Agendas of the Methodist Conference Volume 3 2007-2019

This index is an attempt to continue the work of Brian Beck’s earlier two Volumes (Vol 1 1932-1996 and Vol 2 1997-2006). It is designed to enable users to locate information within the Conference Agendas. The work of indexing involves analysing the document, identifying indexable terms and concepts, and creating appropriate headings. The task of the indexer involves selecting appropriate terms for index entries, and deciding what is significant information in a text. Index entries are therefore given where they lead to worthwhile information but do not include passing mentions as these would only frustrate the user.

References are given by year (17, 18, 19 etc) followed by the agenda page number. References are listed by starting page. * indicates major report. This follows Brian Beck’s method of referencing but this may not be the best for all users in the digital age. In future a “Year/Report Number/Paragraph number” may be given in addition to the page references.
