The magnificent Townend Community Garden is a green and safe oasis in Chapel-en-le-Frith providing accessible paths and raised beds for their users, a quiet garden, scented plants and a pond, to name just a few.
Green in many was, the garden also has a greenhouse powered by solar panels, water tanks and does its own compost.
In September 2025, the Chapel-en-le-Frith's volunteer team won the Church Time Greench Award in the category Land and Nature. Read more here
