Operating policies

Following an extensive governance and procedural review, the following policies were developed by the Methodist Modern Art Collection Management Committee and taken to the Methodist Council in March 2021 for approval.  The policies reflect the requirements of the Museum Accreditation standards of best practice for the operation of the Collection - and its interpretation to promote a Methodist way of life.  They are offered here for anyone interested in hosting the Collection or individual works from it.

Guidance for Borrowers - follow this link to important information that should be read by anyone considering borrowing the Collection.

Exhibition Loan Agreement - this (pdf) document is to be completed following final discussion between the MMACMC link contact and the host group about borrowing the Collection. It is also available as a Word document.

Condition Report - a condition check will be undertaken of all works to be displayed prior to installation and again at deinstallation by a member of the MMACMC link team - this helps us to keep under review any repair or maintenance issues as part of an ongoing conservation programme.
