In what ways does your church or circuit show up at local music festivals, sports or other community gatherings?
We are repeatedly delighted to hear of the many ways Churches and Circuits across the country are engaging with festivals and events that are local to them. From Parklife Festival to the Bishop Monkton Potato Challenge, Methodist Churches are getting out of their buildings and into the local community.
Some festivals and events engagement are fully resourced by the Connexional team, such as the Methodist Church presence at Edinburgh Fringe, some are entirely Church or Circuit resourced such as Heaton Park Methodist Church at Parklife festival, others have a touch of both. We have produced a suite of resources to help you engage with local festivals and events, these can be found below.
Whether you’re looking to lead entirely by yourself or are looking for support, we’d love to hear your story and offer you a helping hand.
Please note the Connexional team cannot commit to supporting every event. Though we’d love to, there are simply too many of them. Where your event doesn’t meet our criteria to receive specific support, we hope these resources will help you.

Conversations Against Mundanity
There’s nothing wrong with chatting about the everyday – it’s what fills most of our lives after all – but those don’t tend to be the conversations we remember. Instead we remember when we were honest enough with one another to open up and say something real.
Conversations against Mundanity is a card game that tries to kickstart those kinds of conversations.
