2022 Gathering
Biennial Gathering in Bristol
We had a fantastic Gathering in Bristol in October 2022. Our theme was ‘Rediscovering and Repurposing for Radical Inclusion’. We learned about the strong Methodist history in Bristol and were inspired by the words of historian Gary Best. We also heard from a diverse range of projects based in and around Bristol City Centre and how these projects had repurposed through the last two years of lockdown, and were continuing to repurpose to make sure they were always working for the people they are called to be with. Then we heard reflections on radical inclusion from Inderjit Bhogal, he shared his powerful story with us and picked up on the strong theme of radical inclusion that ran through it.
Alongside these formal inputs there was lots of time for praying, eating, chatting and generally being in fellowship together. I heard over and over again what an encouraging and inspiring couple of days it had been and how much the network enjoys being together.
