Faith in Action: Migration in the Mediterranean

Formerly based in Whafedale and Aireborough Methodist Circuit, Fiona Kendall is a mission partner working in Rome with Mediterranean Hope, the refugee and migrant programme of the Federation of Protestant Churches in Italy.
Mediterranean Hope is an example of faith in action. With teams based on Lampedusa, in Rome, Beirut, Sicily, Calabria and Bosnia, it is a direct response to a phenomenon perceived as a crisis: migration. It seeks to meet urgent need, embed best practice and change narratives. Fiona will provide an overview of the varied projects in which the teams are involved and the key role of churches in supporting them.
