Tribute for a former mission partner

"The United Church of Zambia Copperbelt Presbytery receives the message of the demise of the gallant soldier of the Cross, the Rev Dr. Colin M. Morris of the Methodist Church who undisputedly earned for himself a honorable reputation as a renowned preacher, author and broadcaster. His years of service in Zambia (1956 - 1969) as a missionary availed the late Rev Dr. Morris a rare opportunity to leave indelible foot prints on the soils of Zambia. As a true missionary, he immensely  contributed to the extension of Christ’s Kingdom here in Zambia through his deligent service.  His passionate service to the Lord saw him rise to being the first President of the United Church of Zambia. He was greatly loved and he will be greatly missed for his great contributions not only to the church, but  to the nation as well in its pursuit for both political and spiritual liberation. May his saw rest in eternal rest".
