This prayer is for those affected by Cyclone Gita that devastated Tonga on Monday 12th February:

Loving God,
Creator and sustainer of all that is,
We pray now for the people of Tonga as they survey the damage done to their families, homes and livelihoods by Cyclone Gita,
Be with all who seek to offer assistance and shelter to those injured and homeless, fearful and frightened.
Fortify the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga, its ministers and members, as it seeks to show your love in practical ways in the coming days.
We remember too those people on other islands especially those in Fiji, who wait with fear and hope, to see where the storm will move next.
May we and they know your care for us and show your love wherever and whenever we can,
Amen.
