organising-events-0215If you are involved in organising events or residentials for children and young people then our new Guidance Packs are for you!

Please note: These resources were produced a number of years ago and, while a lot of the information is still relevant and extremely useful, you may want to also look at the Safeguarding Polices, Procedures and Guidance for the Methodist Church.

There are two packs available:

The Methodist Church is not responsible for any third party content linked to from these documents.

For large events (e.g. festivals, district weekends, events where tickets are sold)

For residential events (e.g sleepovers, youth weekend, camping trips)

Each pack contains guidance on matters such as

  • Budgets
  • Consent forms
  • First aid provision
  • Risk assessments
  • Ratios of staff
  • Sleeping arrangements
  • Incident plans
  • Cancellation policies
  • Copyright licensing
  • Plus much more

The packs also contain example forms available to download for your use e.g. consent form, incident form, risk assessment document plus others.

If you are involved in children's or youth work in any way then these guidance packs will provide vital information and resources and they are completely free to download from Methodist Children and Youth!
