A message for those using a methdist.org.uk address

During the past week attempts have been made to gain usernames and passwords via phishing emails supposedly from either Fluent, or the Connexional IT team. One such attempt was successful, and as a result the affected colleague had to change their password with the assistance if Fluent IT.

In response to this incident the Connexional IT Team have been working with Fluent IT to increase the security on the Methodist.org.uk email system, and remove any of these fake emails which have been delivered. 

As you can appreciate cyber threats are constantly evolving, and will get through from time to time, particularly in times such as these where we are approaching Christmas. Please stay vigilant, and if you are requested to change or provide any login details by email or any other communication. Stop, Call, and Check with the person, organisation, or team making the request.
