Churches and Social Prescribing

Join us for this webinar hosted by the ChurchWorks Commission and the NHS on how churches and faith groups can get involved with social prescribing on Monday 5 December, 13:00-14:30.

Churches have their own strong community networks, and often host other activities for the wider community: from foodbanks to lunch clubs to wellbeing groups. There are some great examples of churches already linking up with Primary Care Networks, with their local Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise partner organisations and with link workers, but in many places the potential is not fully tapped. Mental wellbeing and loneliness are two key issues where churches up and down the country already have a considerable positive impact.

In this webinar, we will showcase some case studies and models of churches and link workers are already working with together in Hampshire to achieve excellent outcomes. We will also hear how churches are starting to integrate into Greater Manchester’s LiveWell social prescribing campaign and how Lancashire are engaging with the social prescribing community and with link workers.
