Discerning Ordained Vocation 1

The experience of Discerning Ordained Vocation 1 this first year has shown that applicants and accompanists need a longer time together before the retreat in May, in order to develop their covenant together, to get to know each other and to cover all the necessary areas of reflection.

Therefore the deadline for applications to DOV1 has been brought forward from 30 April to 31 March.

Please ensure that anyone interested in applying for DOV1 knows that they may do so between 1 January and 31 March 2024

Also – please note that in order to apply for the Explore programme of vocational discernment, applicants need to be members of a British Methodist church or a Methodist related local ecumenical partnership, but they do not have to have been a member for any specific length of time. When anyone candidates (applies for DOV2), they need to have been a member for at least 1 year by the September of the year in which they candidate. (So anyone applying for DOV2 in 2023-2024 must have become a member by September 2022 at the latest).
