New website - we need to say sorry and share some important links with you - a message from Ben Hollebon and Richard Armiger

We got the communication on this wrong

On 19 March, the Connexional Team launched the new Methodist Church website. We did this without sending out an update in advance, through Signpost for Ministry, that this change was coming. For that, we're sorry - we got it wrong and we can understand how frustrating it must be when things change without any prior warning.

The new website is a big change in how our platforms run and so there were always going to be some teething issues that needed resolving, once it went live. We've been listening to the feedback you've been sharing with us via social media and email, and we think we've identified the main issues people are experiencing. We're working proactively to resolve these as soon as possible.

We know that there will inevitably be other things that pop up as people begin using the new website as well. We need to listen to the users of the website in order to understand what needs to change, be updated etc. so please email us with your feedback which we will be working through over the coming weeks. You can also find a Share feedback button at the bottom of every page on the website, so that it's easy to let us know when something isn't working correctly, straight away.

None of the above is meant as an excuse - we know we didn't get this communication right, but hopefully it can serve as a way forward so we can ensure the website does what it needs for those users needing to access materials and information on a regular basis, as well as for people beginning to explore the Christian faith for the first time

Following on from Ben’s message I wanted to share some initial information on how to find some of the information relating to the work of the Ministries: Worship and Vocations team and in particular the worship resources under Singing the Faith +.

To access the Ministries Page, as with the old version of the website, please go to ‘For Churches’ at the top of the home page and then to ‘Ministries’. The page is here: Ministries - Methodist Church

The pages for Local Preachers and Worship Leaders can be found by scrolling down the menu on the Ministries page towards the bottom.

How to find this page, which is now open access again

To access Singing the Faith + please go to this page: Worship calendar - Methodist Church which can be accessed via the Resource Hub on the ‘For Churches’ page. When you go to the page, you will find Easter Sunday resources at the top, and can then scroll down through resources for each day of Holy Week, to then reach resources for this coming Sunday, 24 March, Second Sunday of the Passion / Palm Sunday.
