Social Justice and Schools

Schools are an integral part of communities and often find themselves at the frontline of support for children, young people and families at the margins of society. As funding decreases and resources become increasingly limited, those schools in areas of deprivation find themselves disproportionately affected. John Wesley was particularly adamant that we should serve those who need and want us most. As a justice-seeking church, what does it mean to engage with schools that need and want us most? We’ll be joined by Claire Procter, a headteacher, who will share with us some of the ways schools and churches can partner in serving those at the margins.
