The Rural Community Energy Fund (RCEF)

The Methodist Church at Bishop Auckland is working with other community organisations in the North East to apply to the Rural Community Energy Fund (RCEF). This is a £10 million programme which supports rural communities in England to develop renewable energy projects, which provide economic and social benefits to the community. They are working with secular organisations and churches of other denominations on a combined bid to the fund, and have asked whether any other Methodist Churches have made a similar application. If you know of a church that has benefitted from the fund and are happy to share their experiences we would like to ask them to make contact with Bishop Auckland Methodist Church to assist them with their initiative, contact details are: john.purdy@methodist.org.uk

Indeed, if you would like to find out more about the grant yourselves then please find the details here.
