INTRODUCTION TO LGBTQ AWARENESS

Tuesday 21 May 2024, 7pm to 8.30pm (+ optional extra 30 mins for questions)

This training is for those at the beginning of their inclusion journey, the training will cover a basic understanding of what it means to be LGBTQ, why language matters and how to be respectful and inclusive. The training is interactive, you will be expected to join in the conversation. There will be time for people to ask questions.

LGBTQ AWARENESS - GOING DEEPER

Tuesday 24 June 2024, 7pm to 9pm

This training is for those who have done the intro training, or who are already working with the LGBTQ community and have a base-level understanding of what the needs of LGBTQ people are. This training is designed to think beyond small changes and work from what great inclusion would look like and how we get there. We will look at what being a good ally is, basic advocacy, complex pastoral support, how to reshape spaces, and keeping up to date with young people.
