Voter ID Information

The May 2023 local elections in England will be the first elections where voters will be required to show photo ID at the polling station. Recent research found that only a third of voters are aware of the need to bring photo ID, and that around two million people in the UK do not currently have an acceptable form of photo ID. 

JPIT has launched an awareness raising campaign to encourage church leaders and community leaders to highlight the need for people to obtain photo ID so that they don’t lose their right to vote. You can find information and posters to display in your church here.
