I... beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called. (v. 1)

.. and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge... (v. 19)

‘And ought not this woman... be set free from this bondage on the sabbath day?’ (v. 16)

... so that through the church the wisdom of God in its rich variety might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. (v. 10)

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace; in his flesh he has made both groups into one and has broken down the dividing wall, that is, the hostility between us. (vs 13-14)

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God — not the result of works, so that no one may boast. (v. 8)
