'The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.' (vs 18-19)

But Ittai answered the king, 'As the Lord lives, and as my Lord the king lives, wherever my Lord the king may be, whether for death or for life, there also your servant will be.' (v. 21)

Then David rose from the ground, washed, anointed himself, and changed his clothes. He went into the house of the Lord and worshipped. (v. 20)

In the morning David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah. (v. 14)

When the steward tasted the water that had become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the steward called the bridegroom and said to him, 'Everyone serves the good wine first, and then the inferior wine after the guests have become drunk. But you have kept the good wine until now.' (vs 9-10)

'You established your people Israel for yourself to be your people for ever; and you, O LORD, became their God.' (v. 24)

'Your house and your kingdom shall be made sure for ever before me.' (v.16)

David danced before the LORD with all his might. (v. 14)
