‘With the spirit and power of Elijah he will go before him, to turn the hearts of parents to their children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord’. (v. 17)
Thus says the Lord of hosts: In those days men from nations of every language shall take hold of a Jew, grasping his garment and saying, ‘Let’s go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’ (v. 23)
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ…just as he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love. (vs 3-4)
Old men and old women shall again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with staff in hand because of their great age. And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets. (vs 4-5)
