Prompted by her mother, she said, 'Give me the head of John the Baptist here on a platter.' (v. 8)

'On that day you will ask in my name. I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf; for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.' (v. 26)

‘A little while, and you will no longer see me, and again a little while, and you will see me.’ (v. 16)

'And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgement…' (v. 8)

'… if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.' (v. 7)

'But not so with you; rather the greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leader like one who serves.' (v. 26)

Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.’ (v. 16)

“If the world hates you, be aware that it hated me before it hated you. If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. Because you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world—therefore the world hates you.” (v. 18)

“As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you; abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.” (vs. 7-8)

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine-grower. He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit.” (vs. 1-2)

“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you.” (v. 26)

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you for ever. This is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, because he abides with you, and he will be in you.” (vs. 15-16)
