Samuel said to all the people, “Do you see the one whom the Lord has chosen?" (v. 24)
“Give us a king to govern us.” (v. 6)
He said, “These will be the ways of the king who will reign over you..." (v. 11)
Eli said, “What was it that he told you? Do not hide it from me." (v. 17)
And Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.” (v. 10b)
"There will be signs..." (v. 25)
He first found his brother Simon and said to him, “We have found the Messiah.” (v. 41)
Now the boy Samuel continued to grow both in stature and in favor with the Lord and with the people. (v. 26)
Then Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, and say, “May the Lord repay you with children by this woman for the gift that she made to the Lord”; and then they would return to their home. (v. 20)
"He raises up the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from the ash heap, to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honour." (v. 8)
For this child I prayed; and the Lord has granted me the petition that I made to him. Therefore I have lent him to the Lord; as long as he lives, he is given to the Lord.” She left him there for the Lord. (vs 27-28)
