The Lord created me at the beginning of his work, the first of his acts of long ago. (v. 22)

He shall judge between the nations, and shall arbitrate for many peoples; they shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. (v. 4)

They shall be called, 'The Holy People, The Redeemed of the Lord'; and you shall be called, 'Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken'. (v. 12)

But the LORD is a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel. (v. 16)

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, his mercies never come to an end. (v. 22)

'In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.' (v. 3)

“I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord” (v, 23)

May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ. (v. 5)

So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by our letter. (v. 15)

These will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, separated from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might. (v. 9)

Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed you are doing. (v. 11)
