As for you, the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and so you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, abide in him. (v. 27)

But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and all of you have knowledge. (v. 20)

And the world and its desire are passing away, but those who do the will of God live for ever. (v. 17)

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; (v. 1)

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. (v. 5)

We declare to you what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— (v. 1)

And a voice from heaven said, 'This is my Son, the Beloved, with whom I am well pleased.' (v. 17)

As the glory of the Lord entered the temple by the gate facing east, the spirit lifted me up, and brought me into the inner court; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. (vs. 4-5)

Jesus answered her, ‘If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, “Give me a drink”, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.’ (v. 10)

and my God has become my strength— (v. 5b)

If we are being afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation; if we are being consoled, it is for your consolation, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we are also suffering. (v. 6)
