Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: 'Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat the flesh.' (v. 21)

'This is the temple of the Lord...' For if you truly amend your ways and your doings, if you truly act justly one with another, if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own hurt, then I will dwell with you in this place. (vs 4-7)

'Return, faithless Israel… I will not look on you in anger, for I am merciful.' (v. 12)

Israel was holy to the Lord, the first fruits of his harvest. (v. 3)

Then the Lord put out his hand and touched my mouth; and the Lord said to me, 'Now I have put my words in your mouth.' (v. 9)

The Jews then said to him, 'What sign can you show us for doing this?' (v. 18)

As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem. (v. 13)
