I gave you a land on which you had not laboured, and towns that you had not built, and you live in them; you eat the fruit of vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant. (v. 13)

Conduct yourselves wisely towards outsiders, making the most of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone. (vs 5-6)

Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly. (vs 18-19)
