When many of his disciples heard it, they said, ‘This teaching is difficult; who can accept it?’ But Jesus, being aware that his disciples were complaining about it, said to them, ‘Does this offend you?Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?' (vs 60-62)

I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ himself. (v. 2)

And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (vs 18-19)

Not that I am referring to being in need; for I have learned to be content with whatever I have. … I can do all things through him who strengthens me. (vs 11, 13)

But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. He will transform the body of our humiliation so that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, by the power that also enables him to make all things subject to himself. (vs 20-21)
