Now concerning food sacrificed to idols: we know 'all of us possess knowledge'. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. (v. 1)

“Anyone who claims to know something does not yet have the necessary knowledge; 3but anyone who loves God is known by him.” (vv. 2-3)

But take care that this liberty of yours does not somehow become a stumbling-block to the weak. (v. 9)

“What then is my reward? Just this: that in my proclamation I may make the gospel free of charge, so as not to make full use of my rights in the gospel.” (v. 18)
