“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?” (v. 4)

Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind.

Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind. (v. 1)

"Have you entered into the springs of the sea, or walked in the recesses of the deep? Have you comprehended the expanse of the earth? Declare, if you know all this." (v.16, 18)

"Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding." (38:4)

"Then Job answered the LORD: 'See, I am of small account; what shall I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth. I have spoken once, and I will not answer; twice, but will proceed no further'." (v.3-5)

‘Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades? Can you hunt the prey for the lion or satisfy the appetite of the young lions?’ (vs 31, 39)

Then I will also acknowledge to you that your own right hand can give you victory. (40:14)

“Shall a faultfinder contend with the Almighty?” (40:2)

"And the Lord said to Job: 'Shall a fault-finder contend with the Almighty? Anyone who argues with God must respond'. Then Job answered the Lord: 'See, I am of small account; what shall I answer you...?' Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind: 'Gird up your loins like a man; I will question you, and you declare to me. Will you even put me in the wrong? Will you condemn me that you may be justified? Have you an arm like God, and can you thunder with a voice like his?'" (v.1-9)

"I have uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know." (v.3)

After this Job lived for one hundred and forty years, and saw his children, and his children’s children, four generations. And Job died, old and full of days. (vs 16-17)
