Bible Studies
We hope you find our 'Word in Time' Bible studies support you in recognising God in Scripture, and the world around you.
Each week’s studies are written by volunteers across the Connexion (you can read the author’s biography after each study). They follow the lectionary of the Methodist Prayer Handbook. You may additionally be interested in our Prayer of the Day, also from the Methodist Prayer Handbook.
If you would like to write for A Word in Time, please email wit@methodistchurch.org.uk

For if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how can he take care of God’s church? (v. 5)
He was revealed in flesh, vindicated in spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among Gentiles, believed in throughout the world, taken up in glory. (v. 16)
Do not ordain anyone hastily, and do not participate in the sins of others; keep yourself pure. (v. 22)
But as for you, man of God, shun all this; pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness. (v. 11)
"Whoever is not against us is for us." (v. 40)
But they have conquered him [Satan] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. (v. 11)
"...the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” (v. 21)
"Let the day perish in which I was born." (v. 3)
[God] does great things and unsearchable, marvellous things without number. (v. 9)
“A mortal, born of woman, few of days and full of trouble..." (v. 1)
O that [my words] with an iron pen and with lead they were engraved on a rock forever! (v. 24)
