This Sunday and next (10 November) are also suggested as days to mark the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP). The World Evangelical Alliance has headed up this day for more than two decades. It is also supported by Open Doors, the international charity founded by Brother Andrew, a Dutch Christian missionary who was known as “God’s Smuggler”. Open Doors provides an accessible way of finding out about 50 countries in world where Christian lives are most at risk.
