22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time
Readings are laid out as for the continuous form of the lectionary. Alternative related readings (OT and psalm only) are below. Hymns marked with an asterisk (*) are suggested for more than one reading.
Today is the first Sunday of Creation Time, which runs from 1 September to the feast of St Francis on 4 October – and so spans the “harvest season” for many in Britain. A world of resources can be accessed via our Creation Time page, including a list of Creation Time hymns. In addition, the Joint Public Issues Team website is home to a Season of Creation Guide ("Let peace and justice flow") and Eco-Congregation Scotland's resources for 2023.
