To mark Transgender Day of Remembrance on the 20 November, Stephanie, a 52 year old transgender woman from the Sheffield Circuit shares this prayer.

Eternal God,

This Transgender Day of Remembrance we remember all our siblings who are no longer with us, because they were unable to face the prejudice, hate, uncertainty and dysphoria that they were experiencing. I ask that you draw near to their friends and family at this time and give them the comfort they deserve.

I pray especially for those transgender youth. Guide their support networks to provide them with the support and love that they need.

I pray for all those in authority, in government and healthcare, and also the media that they will hear your will for acceptance and compassion to provide the healthcare that we all need, no matter what our gender identity is.

May the Holy trinity bless us in our times of darkness and dysphoria, and rejoice with us during our euphoric moments. I pray that all those who have faith and those who have none experience the Devine this day now and always.

I ask this in Jesus Christ's name.

Amen.
