Ideas for use

Note from Philip Baldwin: Does anyone else ever use 2 tunes for one hymn ? It solves the problem of ‘why didn’t you play the other tune!’. An unusual choice is Michael for the first and last verses of ‘All my hope on God is founded’ and MeIne Hoffnung with the middle three verses transposed up a tone into C minor ! After 3 verses of this, admittedly set rather high, the effect of Michael on the last verse is rather like riding the rapids after a waterfall!
