What are your dreams for a world freed from poverty?
"Dreams and Realities" is the theme for Church Action on Poverty (CAP) Sunday 2 March, 2025. The theme is inspired by a set of nine portraits by Sheffield artist Stephen Martin. Each painting portrays a person, along with objects or backgrounds representing the reality they face living in poverty – and the dreams they would pursue if they weren’t being held back. These images can be part of your worship.
Fundraising and worship materials are available to download from the CAP website. They include prayers, hymn suggestions, digital images of the portraits, and a video interview with Stephen Martin.
