The Samaritan Journey project of the Methodist Church, Sri Lanka has been supported by solidarity grant from the World Mission Fund and through the appeal. To give to the Sri Lanka appeal click here.
This is part of the report from the Methodist Church, Sri Lanka on the work so far:
"The Samaritan Journey of the Methodist Church of Sri Lanka was initiated to lend a helping hand to the most poor and vulnerable families and individuals in need, especially at this critical time of immense political and economic crisis in Sri Lanka. People are suffering immensely due to lack of essential medicines in hospitals. Many poor children, pregnant and lactating mothers are facing malnutrition as the prices of food commodities are so high beyond affordability. It is a Biblical expression as to how we become a neighbour to those who are affected and fallen by the roadside. This is done, identifying genuine beneficiaries in diverse categories from different geographical locations, who face multiple challenges."
